Either way, some handy info: Most of my journal is friends-only. I've got some public entries, but this blog is mostly a backup for another one, that I've kept for 19 years, now. It contains almost two decades of my life as a military wife, a single mom, a young widow and a writer. I don't feel the need to be any more specific than that. I enjoy all the regular mid-life habits: local shows, live music, writing, reading, discussing themes and ideas, volunteering and parenting my children. When I add to this journal, you'll find that stuff here, too. I'm open to discussion, but if you try to engage me in racism, misogyny, radical politics, homophobic, transphobic or any sort of anti-LGBTQ agenda, you'll get banned. I'm pretty open minded, but I do have very strong personal convictions. I do not believe any one person has the right to hurt or harm another. (all hypotheticals regarding scenarios that could be exceptions to that will be ignored)
If you're interested in becoming DW friends, feel free to add me. If you send me a message about yourself, I'll probably add you back. I exercise my right to NOT add you, for my own reasons. This is how the blogging world works.
Because it's necessary, I need to point out that I am not a fan of fake journals, or of people stealing pictures for the sake of passing them off as themselves or their families. I don't care what lies or truths you use to describe yourself; stealing someone's online identity, for whatever reason, is wrong. I'm not afraid to be confronted about my life. It's relatively searchable, and I don't hide behind icons or post fake pictures. Anyone who has a problem with it can message me anytime. Neither confrontation or truth scare me. I'd rather read someone's mundane, honest facts than a dramatic facade of falsehoods, written only for some twisted, histrionic validation.
